Quickie Boob Jobs:

The substance called hyaluronic acid finds application in many cosmetic enhancement surgeries and treatments and is poised to become as indispensable as botulinum toxin. The naturally occurring substance is procured from the connective tissue in the human body and when injected suffuses the area with volume and lends shape to that region.

Used primarily to plump lips and fill wrinkles and concave scars, plastic surgeons have found a very unusual use for hyaluronic acid in breast augmentation surgery. The 30-minute boob job as it has been dubbed promises to increase the breast size by a cup.

Medical circles refer to this non-surgical breast augmentation procedure as a Macrolane treatment. A few injections of the substance allow the plastic surgeon to shape the breasts and bestow the patient with the desired cleavage.

Compared to a surgical breast enhancement procedure, Macrolane treatments require regular touch-ups. Another minimally invasive method to augment breast size has also been devised by the breast implant manufacturer Mentor which allows the plastic surgeon to adjust breast size six months after a breast implant surgery by way of a specially fitted implant.

The field of plastic surgery is constantly devising ways to make the pain and discomfort associated with major surgeries like breast enhancement less. At the Plastic Surgery Institute of California we stay abreast of the latest developments so that we can enhance the lives of our patients further.
