Will Men Forget What Real Breasts Are Like? Breast Augmentation Pasadena Wonders:

The Sun asked this question in a column last week and it immediately got PSI wondering if this could happen.

The statistics seem to be in favor of such a predicament. As you must have read in several places across the Internet, a breast augmentation was the number one cosmetic surgery procedure performed by doctors in the U.S. last year.

If 347,500 breast enhancement surgeries were performed last year, then according to previous patterns and current trends, this number is bound to boost this year. There are 153.6 million women in the U.S. (the total number of women in the U.S. as of 2007) who have the choice of having a breast augmentation surgery.

Some of these women could have a breast surgery after a mastectomy or a lumpectomy performed to treat breast cancer (182,460 cancer cases found as of 2008). At least 26,909 women have had a breast implant removal surgery for some reason or another so far.

Breast augmentation, whether for cosmetic purposes or for medical reasons is a plastic surgery decision that is steeped in a women’s idea about her body. She might decide to not have a breast reconstruction surgery after a lumpectomy or a mastectomy, or she might decide to have one.

She might decide to have a breast enhancement as a feel-good treat for herself or she might decide to have one to further herself in her profession.

The prerogative, women, is entirely one of your own and should not be tinged by anyone else’s desires. So if you need help, get in touch with the Plastic Surgery Institute of California. Our consultants are experienced in the nuances of plastic surgery and are empathetic as well.

Men may forget, but then again they usually do.
